Writing
As I observe the different articles on A Blog Apart, I learn more and more about the inner workings of each writer and gain a distinct foothold as to what makes them communicate the way they do. It is very interesting to note how mere words can become a telling attribute of the life of a writer. For instance, a person who reads historical and philosophical documents tends to write more directly than a person who indulges on fictional counts. An author (as distinguished from a writer) and a public speaker will write very differently and use their words for different outcomes.
As an experiment on this very differentiation, I ask that any reader who chooses, write no more than 100 words each on the following two topics:
1. What you felt the last time you received bad service at a restaurant.
2. Describe the best meal you’ve ever had at that same restaurant.
Post your writings in the comments section before the end of the year and then afterward, lets discuss what each of these people betrayed about themselves in their writing.
Thanks!

I don’t think I’ve ever had bad service at a restaurant, but then again I don’t go to too many restaurants.
Worst meal I ever had at a restaurant was the seafood enchilada at a Mexican establishment. (It’s well-known and loved, but I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me.) That was the only time I’ve ever been there, mainly because I haven’t had another opportunity.
